I think your talking about Fusor. It's an adhesive, and will bond the kit to the car, but you may want to blend the kit to the car with fiberglass or something if you want it really smoothly molded. Urethane kits are kinda hard to mold because most resins used with fiberglass won't stick to it very well. Fiberglass kits are easy though. Lotta work though, lots of sanding and feathering with body filler. Depending on what type of resin you're using, you probably want to strip down to bare metal and then rough the metal up pretty good. You want to have the best possible adhesion, because the fiberglass will be more flexible than the steel, so you're fighting both peel and shear modes. Clean and degrease the sheet metal and the body kit, this is important also..

we use fuzor at dreamworks .great results, the catch is that after fuzing the kit on and sanding the fuzor you have to 1st prime it with a 2 part urethane primer.you then sand the primer with 80 grit without busting thru, now youre ready for bodywork.

we use fiberglass strands and wet them with fiberglass resin. then sand it then a light coat of bondo cause fiberglass tend to have ptis in it after you sand it.

we use fusor too over here at nushine paint and body, as well. great results, but we do prefer using norton speedgrip. Its more stronger and has more structure.

we usually make brackets to mount the kit to the car, then use tiger hair(fiberglass strands in a fiberglass resin) and light weight body filler over top for the perfect flat finish....then lots of urethane primer.....
