There is a black wire going to the starter not black and yel just black I think it leads in the driver side fire wall and to the starter cut relay. The other day I went out the start the car and when I turned the key I smelt a wire burn when I poped the hood the black starter wire was only halfway connected. How do I find the short?????

 

get a wiring schematic and locate all the grounds in the engine bay and behind the firewall...go search for the fired wire...good luck
