If I had $80,000 to throw around, I'd much rather have a $4,000 CRX that runs 11.80 on a stock 4-cyl than a 500hp car that wouldn't find traction until that crx has about a 2 second lead and pulling strong. And I'd still be walking away with $76,000 in the bank. Some of us like to build what we run, not buy it built for us.
If you are talking about just your every day car you drive to work, then I would pick the viper too. I think it's a beautiful car, and have always thought so.
hey stud dont be jealous....its been done. just go to the vca forum and their are at least 3 guys that have done it. keep in mind that when the magazine tests the times they whip the car due to it not bieng theirs...so of course the owners might not get a fast a time. also keep in mind that your 4banger will need to run some serious power in order to break into the 11's or 10's on street tires. both my v10's can do it on factory rubber.
