With the Explorers, it was obvious that the tire failures were causing the problem, but did Firestone get blamed for it? Nope. Once they started putting Goodyear tires on the car, the roll over rates dropped significantly... considering it still is a vehicle with a high center of gravity, of course the roll over rates are going to be higher than that of a sedan, coupe etc.
You only seem to call out Ford, yet the practices are the same across the board.
Bottom line = capitalism
Oh, and Ford isn't going anywhere. The same shit happened to Chrysler ~25 years ago and they’re fine.
