Possibly, but buying a bike to hold value shouldn't even be in the mix, it's not an investment. All bikes lose value fast. I personally would never shell out 2k for a 17 year old bike, unless it was in pristine shape, but thats just me.

I sold my SV for $1400 less that I bought it showroom new for, and it was 5 years old, but I took immaculate care of it.
