Only issue I've heard of is cylinder #8 which was caused by basically one tuner (not going to list names) and some stock cars and there weren't that many issues in the grand scheme of things. Plus the engine has been slightly changed in 2013 so hopefully that issue won't happen.

Flimflam was saying that it was being done by creating the ghost idle...

You might want to dig a little deeper. When we bought my wife's 2012 5 liter we were all kinds of excited about I/H/E/ tune and then did a little research. Unless someone has figured out a trick, uploading a tune leaves a permanent fingerprint on the ECU, even if you revert to stock. It absolutely voids warrantee. Things may have changed, but as little as a few months ago, that was an absolute truth. I don't blame anybody wanting to uncork the motor a little, but if warrantee is a concern I wouldn't do it. For us.... well for my wife... She doesn't need any more than the stock 412hp to get groceries.

Car looks great though, I wish the Recaros would have been an option when we got ours.

I feel the opposite...hate the tails, undecided on the vents haha...I think I would let them slide since they are functional

It's too late for him, he's already got a JLT CAI on it which requires a tune, lol.

Yeah that's a rumor but not the case. The only companies to release that tune have been John Lund, AEM, and Steeda to the best of my knowledge and the tuner with the problems with the Cylinder #8 was Bama and they never released the ghost idle tune to the public.

Well what I have found was that it would show fingerprint if the car had the battery unhooked. It may be wrong and if so, oh well lol. Luckily Ford (and the ext warranty place i got the warranty from) has to prove that if something happened, it was a direct result of the modifications I made, including the tune. Granted it probably woudn't be hard to prove that, but they still have to.

I don't mind the tails and I'll be doing some stuff to the rear to make it my own and look better. And I do love the hood vents, especially since they are functional. And yeah ford has REALLY stepped up their game with the mustangs. Amazing cars.

Lol yep got the JLT cai and the Lund Racing tune. They said they haven't had any issues with cylinder #8 though and they've tuned tons of 5.0s.

Yep I've been making a ton of videos of the car since I got it. Already over 37k combined video views on my 2013 gt videos and the first video i posted was only 3 weeks ago lol

I normally dislike Mustangs but I really, really like this one. Very appealing with the track package. Nice pick up.

It looks like a blast to drive it. I love how they turned around the mustangs which in turn made me start to like domestics alot more than the past.

Thanks! Yeah the track package is really awesome. With everything it includes, it's a great deal and the car performs great.

It definitely is a huge blast to drive. Mustangs have advanced a ton in the past decade.

If you plan on racing alot, i tell ya spray goes a long way on these, my other friend has an 2011 5.0 with axle back, intake, tune, m/t e/t street and 125 wet shot and went 6.80's at farmington, now he has new tune and Circle D... but 6.8's on stock auto trans and motor is very impressive with a little nitrous shot
