So I've decided to start an earnest search for a bike this year and I'm wondering where I should look. The only places I know of are the VADriven Cycle classifieds and craigslist. Anywhere else? I've tried cycletrader, but it's filled with just a bunch of bikes from Sunrise cycles and nothing else.

 

You can try bike specific sites. For example, you want a Ninja 500, check kawiforums.com and ex-500.com, or you want a streetfighter, check customfighters.com. Also, check the classifieds at www.cycleforums.com. I bought my Ninja off that site for a pretty decent price.

Finally, when using craigslist, don't be afraid to travel in order to get the bike you want. Figure out the maximum distance you will go, and then figure out what cities/states lay within your given radius. Good luck and have fun.

 

just keep looking on craigslist and actually in the car sales section here... odd but actually got some bikes in that section..

 

check out dcsportbikes.com and dcsportbikes.net, those two, here, and craigslist are my main places to check for bikes, i dont like the bike specific forums as much personally because i so often find bikes far outta the area

craigslist FTMTW got all 3 of my bikes on there (not at the same time) but ya, like the other guy said, check out other cities and shit too

 

it all depends on where you're at with craigslist. craigslist in my area BLOWS!
