heres the thing im marrying into a cop family and i get tickets i go to the house and he laughs and says...they got nothing better to do...wish i was still in the lower ranks and they came in with tickets like that cause theyd be on traffic duty...I think its funny as shit hearing a 30 year police veteran saying that ...there are murders robberies and people killing kids with drugs...your worried about my low hum exhaust at 3k on a busy road....get alife and do your real jobs ....not rack up tickets so you can get paid time and a half in court lazy fuks.....they have nothing better to do guys thats all...i cant believe stealth writes tickets for things he prolly has on his car...whats up with that? i just dont get it and dont care either....in va beach its channel 6 called the learning channel.....thats what the cops use to find the right code when they dont know it...thats what takes so long they gotta call there friends while u wait....if you dont know the code why you pulling me over...its ridiculous.
Yea, get this. I got pulled like 2 weeks ago for my exhaust, which is pretty damn loud I'll admit. But I seriously agree, they don't have a fuckin clue what code they're writin u up for. I didn't get written up for 46.2-1049. The cop put 21-120. And wrote down "Exhaust excessive noise". He said he coulda gotten me for the size too, but he was letting that go. So yea, what the hell? I think they just make up random numbers............

well i am talking about things like reckless and stolen cars and other violations that should be addressed. exhaust no being one of them. when i say i am looking for bigger things, i may stop you for your exhaust and check and see is you are driving suspended, if not you get a warning. but hey i don't know why i bother explaining you wouldn't understand it from a cop point of view anyway.
oh yeah and just a hint....i only stop you for exhaust if it's retardly loud. you know like an 8 inch tip with 10 hole in the muffler. the car is somethin like a geo metro with dual exhaust and its loud and stupid. i usually don't mess with the other stuff...like the greddy ones and apexi, ect. i have borla myself. so i would be a hypocrit if i did that. but if you are a shit head to me because i stopped you...then i just don't care and i'll write you anyway

just got back from court for my exhaust ticket. i had a muffler shop install a high flow factory looking muffler, painted it black, and took pictures as well as brought the receipt which i made sure said replace factory muffler and the judge never even asked me to see it. he asked the officer if he inspected the exhaust after i told him it said 50 state legal and the officer said no. he asked what was wrong with it then and the officer was like "it was just uh loud.. and improper" so the judge was like ok and i got off with just paying the court fees.
