You know...that's what I was trying to say on Page 1 but he wasn't listening

I was listening. Still am. You guys keep comparing little stuff that hasn't even caused the first injury (or very few injuries/deaths) to conciously killing many many many customers with at least three different car models.

You're right about the cigarette companies, though.

There's inherent dangers in every vehicle. Ford knowingly released three vehicles with defects. Do you not think people would have still died in these vehicles had they fixed the problem before hand? Maybe not as many, maybe more. How many of these people would not have died had they been better drivers or more conscientious about their vehicles maintenance? I can tell you right now I, and I'm sure others, would know better than to put 26psi of air in those tires. I'm sure you don't always go by manufacturers specifications on every part on your vehicle do you?

Like I said, Ford got caught. You would probably still hate Ford if not for these three vehicles. Its funny these are the only three things you can say they've done wrong, but bring up none of the many good things Ford has done for this country. I know you can use Google, so I'll let you see for yourself how much good Henry Ford. In case your blind hatred won't allow you, here's a tidbit:

"Henry Ford (July 30, 1863 – April 7, 1947) was the founder of the Ford Motor Company and father of the modern assembly line used in mass production. His introduction of the Model T automobile revolutionized transportation and American industry. As sole owner of the Ford Company he became one of the richest and best-known people in the world. He is credited with "Fordism" that is, the mass production of large numbers of inexpensive automobiles using the assembly line, coupled with high wages for his workers--notably the $5 a day pay scale adopted in 1914. Ford, though poorly educated and ill-informed on public affairs, had a global vision, with consumerism as the key to peace. He was a leading pacifist in World War I, but turned his company into a major producer of war materials in both world wars. His intense commitment to lowering costs resulted in numerous experiments and innovations, as well as the franchise system that put a dealership in every city in North America, and in major cities on six continents."

I guess it goes with the saying, "You can build a 1,000 bridges, but you suck one dick and..." Ford has done all this good but you can't see past a very small percentage in the grand scheme of things.

I'm glad you said that MAD, because I wonder how many people who smoke and drink are contributing to this mostly pointless discussion.

I do not drive a ford or a chevy, but I will say...how can you sit by and point fingers at ford when millions of people have been and will continue to be killed by alcohol and cigarettes. Now before you are so quick to answer, can you really say that this is in anyway different than the topic at hand...can you?

Acceptable...NO. However, If I watched you all day/everyday for an extended period of time....I could note your faults and talk shit about you all day long too. The fact is...you can not plan on irregularities. Many companies have investigated explosions due to rear-end collisions...In most cases, it's an unfortunate mishap...Most of this comes down to one thing: LITIGATION. You can sue people for so much shit nowadays it's pathetic. There is very supportive evidence against ford...hands down. Like I said before though...They have neen under a microscope for a long time now.

Again...I point out the Suzuki Samurai.

Suzuki knowingly produced a vehicle that they knew could roll over during evasive manuvers. It was sold and people died due to roll overs.

How is that situation any different

I don't think you understand that we're all agreeing with you that what Ford did was wrong, however it's been done by other automakers and you're refusing to point your finger at them

Well, Ford is one line of trucks. Chevy is one line of trucks and GMC is one line. Just because General Motors makes both Chevy and GMC is no reason they should be combined. Lincoln truck sales weren't combined with Fords, but with this reasoning they should.

Please tell me why they should be combined when they are two different trucks.

Isuzu Trooper (the boxy one) is another example of this as well.
