1984 TT 300zx motor swap question
My uncle has a 1984 TT 300zx its the anniversary addition , he said he would sell it to me for 500$ and i asked him whats wrong with it and he said its gonna need a motor swap soon , i tryed using google to figure out what motors could be put in the car , but i didnt find anything . So if anybody knows what motors could be put in the car or any helpful information please post
i'm assuming it runs now since he said it will need "one soon". So if you can get your hands on a car that runs for 500$ i'd take it. Than as others suggested drop the TT motor in there when you have the time/money.
They use a VG30ET not the VG30DETT. You should swap that in they can make some good power when done right... also go to www.300zxclub.com theres a lot of info there.
thanks for all of your help , i think i am going to get it and do the motor swap, any idea of where i can get a vg30et?

the best swap for that car - VG33E out of a pathfinder, frontier or exterra. It's the same exact block and all the factory turbo parts bolt on, as does the factory wiring and ecu, or you could go w/ a standalone and big turbo, injectors and intercooler and call it a day. You get something like 9.0:1 compression w/ an extra .3L and it'll hold boost all day long. you can find more info at http:www.z31.com/board
