Default car wont start

So I parked my 240 had it off for about a half hour. Come back and the batterys
dead. Had it jumped and it was running fine untill I shut it off again. This time when I try to turn it back on its doesnt make the clicking it did before which was classic dead battery. It makes no noise and the engine doesnt even attempt to turn over. The car will still jump though, but as soon as I remove the terminals from my friends car the car shuts off. So i figure it needs a new battery so I pick up another one and the car still needs jumping? Now though it stays on when i remove the jumper cables. Once I shut the car off though it will not restart unless jumped. When the car is running it seems to be working fine except theres moments when it feels like the whole car shuts off lights and interior backlights included and instantly comes back on.

Any help would be appreciated.

your alternator is probably fucked after trying to charge a fucked battery. take it to any advance auto... we can do in car battery and alternator testing.

I just replaced the alternator and wouldnt the battery light in the car have to come on if it was the alternator.

Get your starter checked. Check connections to battery, starter, and grounds.

Had the same problem with my 5.0, ended up being the alternator.
