Bristol tickest are sold out years iin advanced thats why they can scalp tickets for $800.
Insurance.. yeah it would be high but as long as you have each driver sign a waiver then they will not hav to fall back on theire insurance unless a building falls on them. Regardless, money bags makes it sound like money isn't an issue so I gav him an idea ot of my ass.

I'm seriously interested man! I'd like to learn a trade. It would be cool, and extra money is always good if it ended up being something I could benefit from and make a profit.

Id just like to be that guy "glass" who has the bank to be able to fork over $800 just to get blown. Seriously though...I never immagined there was that kind of cash in glass blowing. I guess it falls in the same line with painting pictures and the like where ppl will fork over big bucks for hand made artsy type stuff. Who'd have thunk it.
What does this area need?
Someone who could somewhat level the manhole covers with the road surface....youd have decades of work in roanoke.
Someone who can build a rear diff without fucking it up twice and finally forcing the owner to DIY the third time. I could have bought a NEW one by now

Someone to mandrel bend/fab exhaust up to 6" (big stuff for the diesel guys).
How do you figure out what business you want to get in? Find a need that isnt being met that you wouldnt despise working to meet that need. Does roanoke need more motels? Not really IMO but I guess you could build one if you really wanted to. Do we need a 1/4 mile drag strip? Hell yeah we do but the cost of just the enviromental issues of building it and lawsuits from home owners within 20 miles would be astronomical. Thats not even considering the relatively low population that would attend as spectators or participants in the area.
Theres money in nature artsy fartsy type photography if youre into that kind of thing. A coworkers wife sells high quality pics of misc stuff she takes pictures of in the national forest for ~120 bucks a pop. She bought a high quality camera, printer, and a high zoot version of photo shop and has been making a killing. She does everything but the actual picture taking from home.
Theres always porn, health care, and funeral homes...ppl always need one or more of those services from birth to death.

I second that... there is money in glass blowing... that is, if you're REALLY skilled. My uncle grew up blowing glass at the Historic Williamsburg Glass Blowing exhibit and now owns his own business in the industry. All his stuff is handcrafted and he is an absolute perfectionist. All the glass in Pirates of the Caribbean was his He makes bank... that's all I can say.
