After towing around a 6500lb enclosed trailer over the past week moving houses, I am considering trading in my 04 armada (w/ 53k miles on it already) for an 05 f350 dually w/ 6.0L turbodiesel.. Anybody have any opinions on these trucks or heard any negative things about them, etc? I've been driving one over the past weekend and to work today and I love it.. Plus hauling shit all weekend with it was very nice in comparison to the armada..

drove one at the dealer a couple of months ago, those things are monsters. i'm sure it'd tow mostly anything you throw at it.

I have a 2005 F350 SRW with the 6.0L Diesel and love it. It's a great truck.

I drove my dad's 9 hours yesterday to pick up a hood for my car, I freaking love it. The only downside is that the 6.0 is slower than the previous 7.3. And I got 19 mpg on the trip.

 

02 escursion with the 7.3. 23-24mpg on the hwy. 18-16 mpg towing a 7500lbs enclosed trailer. Love it. Tho I heard it is hit miss with the 6.0. The new trannies tho are badass. GL and enjoy. I did here the new 07 or 08s are going to be twin turbo diesels for the redesign

 

I've heard the same thing. I've also heard that Dodge is getting Caterpillar diesels in a couple of years as well.
