F1 Suzuka Grand Prix
Anybody else watch it? Any predictions for Brazil? This was the second to last race in the season, the driver's championship was tied at 116 points between Schumacher and Alonso. And with around fifteen laps to go, Schumacher's engine failed and Alonso took the lead and the first place finish.
I know that so much of this sport is being in the right place at the right time, and Alonso definitely got a second chance at this championship with that engine failure. Schumacher was on a hell of a roll during the second half of the season and my money was on him for the championship. Now its 126 -116 for Alonso, so Schumacher not only has to get first place in brazil, Alonso has to finish outside scoring position for him to get it back. Unlikely, but so was most of this season. I'm still pulling for Ferrari; let Schumacher retire in style.

i was flipping shit today when that happened. I think it was the 17th lap? I couldn't believe it. It would be great for Schumacher to win in the points but it looks like it's going to be too little too late.

do you guys understand how schumacher can hypothetically still win it, even though the points would be tied? is it because he has more wins in the season?
Alonso is going to have to break to finish out of the points on home turf. I can only pray to God that he finishes 9th and has nobody to blame for it.
No matter what, I will always pull for Ferrari and Schumi will always be my all time favorite driver.
Did anyone else notice how civilized he was after he blew that engine? You think Alonso would have acted the same way? Doubt it.

I stayed up and watched every second live. My jaw was on the floor when Schumi's car belched smoke. I couldnt believe it. Im sure i'm getting this wrong, but they said something to the effect of his last engine failure being in the 2000 season!!!
I dont like Alonso. I dont know why, but I think he's a smug lil prick. Schumi has style and class. Like Flite said, he went around shaking every member of his teams' hand thanking them instead of being all pissed off and being all whiny like some NASCAR driver would..heh. Hats off to him for being cool in possibly the most stressful time of his season.

Schumi is the greatest and most sporting driver in F1 history and Schumi/Ferrari is the greatest most charismatic team in F1 history. Anyone ever notice that The German flag and Ferrari both sport the same colors? Black, Red, and Yellow.
Who do you think is the greatest driver in F1 history? I really believe Schumi is. Sometimes it's hard to accept that a modern driver could be replacing a classic. I honestly see Schumi as the greatest driver in the history of the sport.
