It's one of my favorites on here, but I understand that things change.

So I vote to sell it.

As far as selling the car. I'd say sell it, but at the same time I'd say keep it. It sounds like you don't like the coilovers, not the car so much. The kids are another story, it's hard to have a car like that w/ kids - there is NO room in the back of one at ALL. At the same time, I don't think you'd be happy w/ the price you'd get for the car - unless you're willing to ship it to Cali, or get some UltraSpeed guy who is interested in it. What I am saying is, the crowd that is interested in your car either can't afford 11,500, or wont pay 11,500 - just my opinion. If you were looking to get 8-9k or something around there I think you'd get that fine. Your car is HOT, and I love it, but it's still a S13, the interior is less than spectacular (not your car just S13s in general) and the seats suck. I can't remember if you have different seats in it or not.

You could always sell the car, then buy a S13 shell (or S14 ), put a SR in it, and keep the whole thing stock. That way you have no problem w/ the suspension or anything.

honestly the coilovers don't bother me much at all, other than the scraping of the rear tires in the fenderwells when it's lowered... but i put a lower ar tire on the rear a couple months ago and haven't had that problem since (although it doesn't look that great with the newly added wheelgap...)

i think it's just the fact that i'm not using it for what it's intended for, and could really just use a more comfortable car for this stage of my life right now.

thanks for all the input guys. i'm still almost spot on 50/50... although i may have just been swayed by my wife towards a bmw... i'm actually checking prices on older 3-series right now then sleeping on it. it also will depend on what i can realistically get for the car if i do decide to sell it.

Dont sell that car... Only sell it if you need more room for the kids or whatever reason... Dont just sell it because you cant work on it anymore. But if you have to sell it for your family then you got to do, what you got to do. You have my .02

Beautiful car BTW...

You think you could fit kids comfortably in any of those cars? haha Oh man Andy, I say keep it. You need what we in the "real" world call a beater. Something sub $2k with four doors that's got AC and gets good gas mileage.

I sold my old red hatch for something "nicer" in the form of an 01 Integra LS fully loaded. I had it for about a week and was in severe depression, so I started looking for another hatch back. I regret selling my first hatch, but I do not regret selling the Integra at all. I think this is how you'll feel, too.

well... i was kind of going along with the conception that my car is basically a 2-seater with a couple cushions behind the front seats, and that any other coupe would have been a vast improvement, and my car has had everything that had anything to do with the a/c system removed other than the switch on the dash, but you're absolutely right... and that's why i'm leaning more toward a mid-90s 328i now. in fact if i can find one at a dealership here locally i'll probably go test drive one to see how i like it and go from there.

at this point i'm actually considering getting out of the 'scene' altogether for a little while.

seriously, just keep it. and buy another car maybe even another 240.
and your right about 240 seats, theres really no backseat the DMV considers it a 2 seater

so how much cash would you have for another car, if you keep the 240?

They shouldn't, mine is considered a 2 door Sedan...yours should be too - they're trying to scam you on insurance! Bitches!

Sorry for the thread jack.....but I agree w/ SignfcntOthr, if you don't have to do it for your family don't do it, but if you do and a 2k beater isn't possible, then do what you have to do.

Shit, get a older accord or something and put your beat up hood back on, tell the headlights, corner lights, and CF hood then drift the fuck out of the car, hahaha.
