I belw my stock ring and pinion when I supercharged my car. So I bought 4.57s and traded my roommate for his stock R&P. He put the 4.57s in his car and I had his stock ones cryo-treated and put into my car. We both used Accuracy.

But I have plenty of experience with shorter gears and I can tell you that even though you're going through the gears faster you aren't actually going much faster at all. It's not an advantage you couldn't overcome just by driving a little better.

And on road and autocross courses they hurt more than they help. Also, your speedometer and odometer will never be right again unless you get a yellow box. And you don't want to get caught with a yellow box.

Bottom line: Not worth it. I wouldn't shorten the gear ratio of an S2K even if someone paid me to do it.

But there are always suckers out there that think since you get through a gear faster then you must be going faster. Never mind the fact that you're shifting at a lower speed and spending more time off the gas. I say you find one of those suckers and sell them your gears. Maybe show them that streetfire video to help your sale.
