idiot. the skyline had all this technology in the 80's. mercury was making pure shit in the 80s and still is.I didn't say Mercury was making good cars in the 80's, I didn't say they were making good cars now. I simply said they were making a car with an awd platform.
In any case, it does not change the fact that the Skyline is a hype car.

It is spelled "guarantee" you may want to go back and ask for a refund on that education.
Lets examine why you are wrong on like every level.
1st - Price. After your import taxes, alteration fees, actual price of the car, and the price of shipping. You will not be seeing much of a discount on super car prices.
2nd - It does not compare to a Ferrari, or a Porsche. Its called hype, you should look that up on wikipedia. The Skyline is a 4 door coupe. It's also a Nissan. It is also not a very original design, nor is it an influential design. If you believe that the Skyline is some amazing piece of original engineering, I would urge you to once again go back to wikipedia and do some research on a little thing called "quattro"
3rd - It can be easily modified... you must be on crack. Maybe in Japan it can be easily modified, but good luck finding an oil filter for it without going to a catalogue in the U.S.
There are a hundred cars being made right now that have similar features. Hell even the new Mercury Milan is an awd system. You can go to a dealership today, and for less then 50k buy a turbo charged awd car from Subaru, Mitsubishi, Audi, Saab, Volvo, and technically the new Acura SUV also fits in to that category as well. They are much better choices if you are a United States citizen.
Also, on a side note. While you might make more money than I do, you are not smarter. Secondly, you may have gone to college, but from your posts you are obviously barely educated, maybe you should have studied harder. Thanks for reading, have a nice day.

New V-SPEC II is 95k. 911 will cost you a lot more then that.
You should see a skyline in action before assuming anything.
All of the all wheel drive cars you suggested have as intelligent rear wheel drive system as you are, except maybe for FQ400, but it needs service every 1k miles and don't even get me started on rebuilding the engine.
Anyway, look at this video and maybe this will make you just a bit more informed.

They aren't quite all they are hyped up to be, but the R34's ran low 13's stock, and handle like a dream. The AWD system is pretty awesome, along with a very strong motor. I also hear that with some tuning they can make almost 400 awhp just like they are. They are very strong motors... They have full bodied cars in the mid 7's at 185+.
why are people seriously asking about how fast they are.. 2.6 litre awd turbo
all u need to know
not to mention stock blocks on rb26s can take well into the 650hp range on STOCK bottom end....

A stock small block chevy crate motor can carry well in to the 1000hp range, and you don't have to take it through customs...

I never said anything about 1000hp engine, but since you didn't read wikipedia, let me quote it:

The other point that is so commonly taken regarding skylines is "rarety" which is completely false, they are not rare, and by the way I have read wikipedia on Skylines, I have actually read quite a bit about them. They are not rare at all, they are just rare in markets they were not released in. I have said it before, there are lots of car enthusiasts with lots and lots of money. They can afford to bring whatever they want here, the reason they don't bring in Skylines is because they don't care.
This is such a dumb statement, I am not even really sure why I am responding to it. The obvious difference is that a SBC motor is a viable alternative. It is something you can order from pep boys.
