wow... what an ingnorant comment. Some people just don't get it. OMG how can it be fast w/o that new technology called overhead camshafts.... what not V-tak?
Lest we forget that the OHV motor is smaller, lighter, has fewer moving parts, and produces a broader powerband. And OHC have been around since the early 20th century.

It's the "gee that thing did good and it still has pushrods" comment... people were marketed OHC as "new" and "better" technology so the assumption exists that OHV is old and archaic when from an engineering and packaging POV it has many advantages.
Ever wonder how and RX-7 can put in an LSX motor/trans and only gain 50 lbs?

Brian...calm down, for real. I didn't take his comment that way at all. Considering the guy who posted it runs a pushrod motor, I seriously doubt that he was trying to malign it in any way.

I'm not worked up... just trying to educate and inform. Many people assume OHC is "new" "better" and OHV is "old" etc simply due to the fact that auto makers started using OHC for marketing etc.
Anyways... off to bed. G' night from pushrod land.
