Ok, Im seeking some help. Ive never had any problems with my back before, however recently, ive found myself having to "pop" it almost every hour. It doesnt hurt at all, but it just feels like I have knots in the muscles that are in dire need of some attention.
Im sure some of you all have gone to spas, massage clinics, etc. So im asking for some recommendations as to where to go to get a good quality massage. I heard on 96X this morning of the new Jakes Place spa, down in Ghent, specializing in gentlemen and was considering on going to them but wanted to hear what you all would recommend..

BTW, This is my first "real" massage by a professional.
I would use one of my girl friends, but Im tired of their "my hands are tired" complaints after 5 minutes of rubbing me down.

 

Jakes Place is the shit. No women are allowed past the lobby and the women working there are usually top notch. I've gotten haircuts and shaves done there. Let me know how the massages are though.

 

Well Im not dead set on them.... or wasnt atleast. I wasnt sure if they only had men working there so I was kind of iffy about having a man rub me down. Call me homophobic, but that just doesnt fly with me. lol.

Depending on how many people give me recommendations to places, im going to call them all tomorrow to get Massage times/prices and then pick one to set up an appointment with for Friday.

Try going to the gym or find a playground with a jungle gym (good luck with that one) where you can hang from a pull-up bar. Let your weight stretch your back. Twist your hips slowly from side to side helps me. Check into a "lumbar stretcher" as well, mine is a lifesaver. Have 4 compressed discs in my lower back.

 

You know, I've never received one around here. Rob, does your gym has a massause there? If not, ask one of the people who work there whom they'd recommend.

I've heard the same commercials and have contemplated on going down there. If you find out prices, post up. I'd be down for a real good massage.

 

I've had my hair cut at Jakes place but no massage so I cant help you there.

However my girl has bought me a few things from Relax the Back in Virginia beach. Plenty of information and lots of good products.

Ive also heard you can call the massage school in va beach and have a student come massage you for cheap.

 

Rob, did you try craigslist yet? There are many ads from MT's who need to get sessions in so they can get their licenses.
