oh shit... my girlfriend told me about a bike accident at JMU last week, i guess this was it..

That's not what the police and EMT's said. I'm not here to bash on the guy, because I didn't know him, but from all the official reports I've heard from those on scene he was going over 80mph on Devon Lane and the car couldn't even see him cresting the hill when they turned in he was going so fast.

Well, I don't know the details of this situation, however, I will say that the one accident I had on a motorcycle (which is why eleven years later I still can't put full pressure on my left foot) was a car's fault. The driver stopped long enough for me to get up and look at her, then took off.

Oh I know cars are at fault some of the time, but bikes are at fault some of the time too.
