I need help finding someone in VA beach...anyone?
So, a little back story:
First weekend in September (labor day weekend), I drove down to VA beach to diagnose a starting/wiring problem with an SR in a "silvia" for a user on here by the name of Cole. So I drove down earlyish in the morning, showed up, diagnosed the problem in a couple hours, fixed the problem car fired up. Cole had said that is all he wanted me to do for now, [insignificant] and would contact me later about race wiring. [/insignificant] So. I drove home, sent him a bill for $275 (not bad for driving to va beach and back in a day and wiring the car, considering gas prices at the time)
Now, the problem with Cole:
While wiring the car, he had an $800 check in his pocket and was getting a $3000 check the coming week; he said that it was a holiday weekend and no banks were open, so he'd paypal me as soon as the banks re-opened.
I agreed, I figured he was trustworthy. So Tuesday goes by, Wednesday, Thursday, etc. etc. Next thing I know, I'm struggling to get in contact with him, after two weeks he's online but no IM response, I leave phone messages, nothing.
SOOOOO after around I was able to make contact with him, and he said something about being kicked out of his house, and that he was dead broke (how do you go through $3800 in two weeks when owing people money!?!?). He said he'd ask his parents as my rent was do and I was also broke and had been depending on his payment to make mine. Needless do say, he disappears again, this time for even longer, there's an eventual IM saying i'll have my money in a couple days, to no avail.
Now, fast forward to two weeks ago: Again after no payment, I was able to contact him, and he said someone "dan" I think user name WhytRyce or something on here owed Cole money and would be paypaling that to me and Cole would be in contact with me the NEXT day.
Now the FUCKED up thing, is that if you recall Cole had a couple posts on here selling his car, and all of his parts and the sub-subject was "pay matt martin" sale or something like that http://www.lookoutdrift.com/forums/index.p...wtopic=6024&hl=. So I have word that everything is sold probably like $3500 worth of parts. So, what does Cole do? Cole buys a dirt bike and heads off to North Carolina for vacation.
I didn't know this at the time and i'm nice, so, I wait a week plus some, and try to call him and his phone doesn't work. So I see he's online and inform him that after 2 months i'm going to start charging 5% interest on the original debt and adding it on every 3 days because this waiting has caused my personal finances problems as well as making me look like an ass to others.
So finally I saw him SIGN on to AIM, so I know he's there, and he ignores me until I make him aware that his presence is blatantly obvious. Once again more and more excuses.
I'm tired of the bull shit, I just want my money, and to never have to deal with this kid again. Can anyone get in touch with this kid, or have any pull in his life? If not, I will drive to Va Beach and stalk him until I have his money. Due to the fact that I'm a mechanic and I did work on his vehicle and he has not paid, I have the ability to put a mechanic's lien on his vehicle.
Any help in this situation would be greatly appreciated and I will reward anyone who is able to recover my money.
Thank you!!

Best of luck to you.. I hope everything gets straightened out, and that he has a chance to put his two cents in about the situation before people make judgements.
Well, I didn't want people to get the wrong idea which is why I waited almost 3 months before I went public, $275 isn't a big deal considering he bought a dirt bike, and is now posting because he broke it and needs it fixed.
good luck, hope the asshole gets what coming to him.
i was raised to always pay my debts when money was owed, its sad so many others werent. on another note, it probably wasnt a good idea to rely on money from a third party to pay your bills.(not that ive never done it)

I don't know him personally, but I've been on Drag for quite some time and interacted with Cole... and he's always seemed like a pretty good guy from what I gathered. I'm not quick to burn someone on the cross, but I'm also not saying you haven't been done wrong. Like I said, I hope he straightens things up with you. I can understand things coming up, but the dirtbike and vacations are something that sort of make me raise my eyebrow.
Where did you have to drive from, anyway? Just out of curiousity.
Baltimore, Md, about 3.25 hours.
But yeah, I thought the same thing before I did business with him, i suppose money changes things. We went to drift events together, would talk online, etc. etc.
I'm an easy going guy, I'm the first one to realize shit happens, and it can happen at not-so-good times, it has just become excessive.
If I owed someone money, I would NOT go on vacations, I would NOT buy a dirtbike, and I would cut some corners in my every day life to INSURE that this party was paid.

Never done business w/ him... but did almost get into a bar fight w/ him. He had my back w/o question so he's all good in my book.
G'luck getting your shit straight.
G'luck getting your shit straight.
but yes, I've been in both positions. I've had people owe me money for years, and never paid me.. and I've borrowed money a few times myself, so I can relate. I just hope everyone gets it cleared up.
