Who lives in an Apt?
I'm going to be moving out here shortly, and will be looking into an apartment with a friend of mine. Unfortunately, I have NO clue where to start looking. I've checked some of the websites, but I'd like personal opinions, mostly about the neighborhood, area, roads, etc, and of course about the apartment itself. So if you don't mind posting up what complex you live in an what you pay, it'd be super awesome to get some info
Thx.

Thx.
I live in the Dove Landing North apartments (off Wesylan Drive). Rent for a 2 bedroom apt is $760/month and only pay electric which is usually $85/month(divided by two if you have a roomie of course). Its in a nice neighborhood and pretty close to 264 and 64. Plenty of parking, always open spaces to park. Overall I like it, just wish I had a garage.
Ive pulled my trans in the parking lot though and nobody has complained :P

I live in the Harbours. It sucks and I absolutely hate renting. If I wasn't planning on moving across the country in a couple years, I'd own a house by now. Rent here is $886/month for a two bedroom.
Thx, I'll look into it. The reason I'm asking this is because I'm not nessecarily counting out places in VB, Norfolk, Poquoson, etc, but they are a bit out of the way to randomly drive around in hopes of finding a places that "looks" like it might be nice to live. Not to mention, looks don't really say anything about a neighborhood anymore. Even places that appear nice can be overrun with trash.
some good apartment sites are rent.com, forrent.com and apartments.com. Also if you would like to look at some reviews of apartments go to apartmentratings.com, Good luck
I've livedn in 2 diff. apts in the last year of so.. both in vb so they'd probably be a bit of a drive but I'll give some info.
My current apt. is Windsor Lake. It's about 4-5 min. from 264 and about the same to the town center. Parking is pretty good unless you like coming home really really late then you'll have a small walk. Neighbors pretty much keep to themselves but those who are talkative are pretty nice. I live in a 3 bedroom so the prices are diff. but you can check out the website for more info on that.

The place I lived in before this was kings grant landing. Honestly, it's one of the best areas in vb. Great neighbors, and the houses all around are full of pretty much upper class people. The parking sucked, but it didn't bother me one bit as I was so impressed with the area. It's a good distance from anything though... about 5-10 min. from the rosemont rd. exit on 264.

I've actually thought about possibly looking into the Kempsville area (which I don't believe is too far from you currently). My best friend just recently moved down there and loves the area, plus it'd be nice to not have to drive an hour to hang out. Thanks for the info, I'll check into some places down around there.
