The falcon is HOT. it WILL sale.
Why? The Holden/GTO didn't.

And Ford will never bring the Falcon to the US in any significant numbers because the UAW won't let them.

Actually emissions wont let them bring it here.

5.4L DOHC V8 32valve Boss engine in the FPV model Falcon. Making 290KW and 520Newton Meters of torque....... that translates to 388.9HP and 383.48lbft of torque. Thats alot of power for a family car. And its RWD.

Really? Because the 385hp / 385 lbs of torque 5.4 liter V-8 found in the 2000 Cobra R didn’t have any problems with emissions.

The REAL reason is because the UAW will throw a fit over a vehicle not made in the US. The UAW threw a fit over the Holden / GTO and ultimately was pacified with GM agreed to only import 18,000 units annually. The UAW threw a fit in the late 80s when Ford decided to import the Capri from Australia and brand it as a Mercury in the US. If suddenly the Falcon replaced the Taurus in the US line up the UAW would threaten strikes unless they were allowed to build it here.

And the fucking UAW is going to be the death of American manufacturing as we know it.

Didnt you read that like 10 hours after the original Story was posted?

http://www.cnn.com/2006/AUTOS/12/15/...dan/index.html

Ford: No way we'll make four-door Mustang
Company denies reports it is considering making Mustang variants.

Wonder if they got such a shitty response they denied the whole thing?
