sounds like a lotta work for ya.... i'm workin on sellin my 90 tsi awd.... if something falls through, i can give ya a pm.... its got 135 on the motor and still turns over ( read: no smashed valves)

You can bore out a block and replace it with steel sleeves even if its a steel block. They do it in V8 all the time.

Obviously he was thinking of building a honda motor. Hybrid has you on track as far, as all your question's. Im going through the same process as you right now, but it's getting all finished up soon. I had my head re-built by abacus with all new valves, guides, and seals, from ferrera for cheaper than oem parts, so you should check into that. The head job ran a little over $400. I don't think I saw anyone mention arp headstuds. With the evo3 manifold, I'm pretty sure you have to mod it some to fit, but nothing major. If your looking at getting a 16g, I would sell my Evo316g for $400. It has a little over 3k miles on it. Goodluck on your re-build. Add about $1500 on top of whatever your budget is. Well, at least that's how much extra I've spent without planning on it.
