ok so i was going down 295 and their was a state trooper sitting on the side of a hill as soon as I pass him, sure enough he pulls out and proceeds to pull me over. When he pulls me over he claims my tint is too dark, which it is. But he also said my exhaust was too loud. I was wondering how Virginia determines how loud ur exhaust is. Oh yeah I was the only one actually going the speed limit.

just take off the exhuast and put on the OEM and take a picture present it and court then watch the violation get dropped

I guess so many people have aftermarket exhaust now its very profitable for the state to start enforcing this law, even tho a truck with dual exhaust 2 times as loud as my car will never get a ticket!Its profiling but what do you do?write our congressman? lmao

 

If you are going to go the route of the putting on a stock exhaust, taking a picture and than putting the after-market exhaust back on DO NOT show up to court that day w/ your car if it has the aftermarket exhaust on it. I know it sounds like common sense..but i've heard personal stories of that backfiring on the people when the cop shows up for the hearing and happens to "re-inspect" the vehicle.
