Default 757.....350z motor? VQ35DE

Do you guys know a place where I could purchase a 03'+ 350z engine? This is more of a information thread rather than a wtb. Maybe a junkyard like you pull it.

Looking to get engine/tranny/harness/ecu.

car-part.com

This is the search I did, quite a bit to choose from:

Not sure why you want one...but LS1s are cheaper, and easier to get parts for if that's what you're thinking.

A good LS1 on that site would go for $4500+ yuck!!!! not my brand. I'm trying to find a local person or shop who might have one laying around and willing to let it go for cheap. Long shot, but I got my fingers crossed.

I am affraid to ask why you want a VQ35DE. But Are you planning on dropping it into the 240SX in the picture? If so you need alot more than the ECU, engine, tranny and harness. You will need the ETM, throttle peddle, all the wiring for it. the ABS module....... the list goes on. I thought about the swap for a a few months then I drew up all the plans for it, and then started searching for parts and it came to about 10K in parts alone..... then I decided its cheaper and more effective to get a VH45DE from a older (1990-93) Q45.

Yeah, that or a LS1...which you can get for around 2500 bucks if you look in the right places.

How did you come up with $10K. That's kinda rediculous!!! I know what I need and no the engine is not goin in that 240. I agree an LS1 would be sick, but trying to find one for the right price would be hard. The q45 swap is nice, but kinda old. I have a buddy of mine in FL. doing the VQ35DE from an 03 350z and is coming out real nice. He is no where near $1.5k with this swap and is going to make somewhere 500HP w/ stock internals. Ofcourse he got a sick deal on the engine and tranny.

Why would I need the ABS Module? I dont' have ABS in the car now. As long as I have the engine and tranny the rest is easy.

BTW anyone have an LS1 laying around???
