Default 240SX Speedometer Cable

How hard is it to install one of these? I just bought the car tonight and I know it needs to be replaced, but I'm not sure if I should take it to someone or try it myself.

I know that my 240 doesnt have a speedo cable. It just has a speed sensor. It may be due to the fact that I have a digital dash and HUD. If you have an analog cluster it might have a cable. If it does it shouldn't be too hard. It's just like anything else; just take your time and do it.

im assuming you mean the sensor. Its easy as hell, just get a 10mm open end wrench, jack the car up and undo the screw that holds it into the transmission(it will get messy as hell when you pull it so be quick with the new one or have a bucket ready). the sensor has a 2 wire plug attached to it, undo that and pop your new one in place. shouldnt take you longer than 10 minutes.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. It turns out the speed sensor's a moot point because my engine is a giant clusterfuck of ground-out synchros and bad bearings. Yay Nissan!
