Random bit of info, it was actually an 82 Trans Am. But yeah the inside was shit but the outside is simply beautiful.

 

nope. firebird formula. no TA body trim, hood etc.... the formula hood is kind of a dead giveaway too.

It's a forumla dude. there's a big appearance difference between a formula aand a TA. should have been a TA though.

 

Then why would they call it a TA???? Rather then a formula??? Could it be that its a TA with a customized formula look(keyword customized)? Mad Max's Pursuit special was a customized falcon xb and looks nothing like the original car thanks to movie "magic".

This sure looks like a TA to me

that picture is of KITT from season 4 where he gets the "super pursuit mode" upgrades. convertible top, etc.... he doesn't have the TA side skirts. he has the formula hood and not the flat fake louvers TA hood.

I swear to god it's formula. This is very personal for me.

 

I'm not going to argue anymore dude, I already proved my claims with the links I showed. Just because it lacks the TA side skirts and has a formula hood doesn't mean its not a TA. Could it be that they stripped all that off for the show? I mean the car has high definition equipment interior (for the 80's),blackouts, and not to mention a big led on the hood. Come on now just because the batmobile looks like a bat doesnt mean its a real bat. I'm not trying to be a buttmunch but this is a customized tv show car.

Ok after massive research and google killing. The KITT is a T/A Its a rare special T/A that only had 2000 made in 1982 I believe.

believe me KITT was a Trans Am with added nose, skirts, ect
the Formula wasnt produced again until 1987 where it used the old Trans Am hood from 82-85
at the Trans Am Nationals they were be about 30 or so KITT cars show up(until the KITT car club got banned for some reason)
there are BUNCH of replica cars out there and they are kind of easy to do, alot of companies sell the kit to convert any 3rd gen
one time at the TA NAts they had a KITT replica race KARR replica at the drag strip and they both ran like 20 seconds in the 1/4 mile
they are really slow because of how much stuff they add to the car to make it look like the tv show car
