I heard the gear ratio is the same as the mazdaspeed 6.

I test drove one. It is definatly fast even though I didn't floor it. There is about a full second after you roll into the throttle before the turbo spools which can get annoying in traffic especially with how hard the power comes on. The handling is great. The car is great and I would have one if I wasn't tired of front wheel drive.

they're very nice, and decently quick but it definetly should've been AWD like the MS6. I know of their traction system for it but still. AWD > FWD

 

The only thing "Ford" about them is the chassis. The C1 chassis is what Ford of Europe developed for their Focus. Vovlo also borrowed this chassis to use in their c30. For the engine, only the block is shared between Ford and Mazda, everything else is different. That's about it for Ford and Mazda sharing anything on the Mazda 3...

 

and Ford uses the 6 chassis for their Fusion, Zephyr and Milan.
