Dreamworks is a great shop, pm Jeff him or ask him in person if he needs an apprentice or something like that.

Also, Stock or Modified was looking for an apprentice not to long ago. Call up there and ask if the position is still available. With either shop you can't go wrong.

Not happening you can go to wyo tech and get all the training you want in a classroom environment and when you go to a shop you will be lost. trust me I know I was a painter for 10 years I had helpers go to wyo tech utech all sorts of tech school I would tell them to feather that scratch out and they would be like what??. seriously man to you and the op just get a job doing any thing in a shop and listen watch and learn. hands on is the best way to learn this stuff. and the HR area is flooded with people who want to make millions doing this stuff and only a select few make it good luck. I loved it but after 10 years I was just burnt out and for the record I made about 65 to 70 my last year and that was busting my but with a good paint team. pm me I know alot of people and can give you some names and numbers

actually i already know im going to make that much, cause the guy is one of my fathers good friends. He told me i have to go to school first then he will hire me, with 10K sign on bonus and 60K a year. He runs the shop hes at and comes over here all the time. soo...........sorry guess i just got lucky but im sure what your saying is true is most cases...but school never hurt anyone.
*im not trying to brag or anything so no need for a arguement, im just telling you what a good friend who runs his buisness is telling me, if i end up making less then so be it, im going back to get my degree after tech school anyway..

I have a few friends that went to UTI for auto-body, they said it helped but starting off as a helper for a painter/body guy for a few years you will get the same exact training.

Most helpers start off at 10-12/hr but I'll be honest getting that job you usually have to know someone if you have no experience in order to get hired.
