Team DOHC needs to quit riding each others nuts so hard. Here this is for you guys.

Doing what he is asking for is not rocket science. Apparently he has all the equipment to do what basically the same thing Garan is doing. Why not learn how to properly use that while he is at it? A "Professional Tuner" is not always going to be there in a moments notice to help bail you out.

If I buy a new gun I don't let someone else shoot it for me in a match. I learn to shoot it myself and what bullet loads work best to get the best performance from it. Why do I do that when I could have someone else build the bullets for me? Because it's a hobby I enjoy.

16g-95gsx=Mark at turbotune? Seems to have the same persona anyway...

924doorsleeper, dont even argue bud. It seems you are busy as hell, as are a lot of people. Somethings certain people dont want to do. I tune my car, but even though I could take the time to learn how to do sheetrock I got a room now that needs to be redone before selling my house and Im gonna outsource it. Same difference. Let the trolls be trolls, dont feed the monkeys so to speak

If you know what you're doing, there isn't much of a need for a dyno for most parts/mods that a person installs. Tuning your car really is not a difficult affair guys, you honestly make it sound like rocket science. 99% of the mods performed out there are copied off of other's setups and generally getting them running somewhat well doesn't take long at all. You make it sound as if years of time needs to be invested in order to create an adequate fuel and timing map. This board used to be full of people who actually did their own crap, apparently now its full of people who buy parts and have others tune it for them. This would be why no one I know enjoys coming to this board anymore.

I agree with both parties here,

I do agree people should research and figure stuff out on their own, for the benefit of saving money in the end.

However, I can understand that people may not have the time or interest in doing EVERYTHING.. different people want different things..

I do agree that tuning is NOT the complicated science some people portray, it really is pretty basic/by the book/and easy.. You don't need a dyno to tune fuel or timing, it helps speed the process, but its costly and I did just fine without it.

Its hard for everyone to tune on the street. I know in my car it was a pita, on low boost without heating the tires up it would spin at 70mph. I just want a reason to have people sit in my hatch while I dyno

"Boo hoo I work these hours." Kid I am out of town on business for 60% of my year. I still make time to do the things I need to do. That's not a viable excuse. So you're in a car club and enjoy fast cars and such yet you spend your time doing other things? That's the dumbest thing I have heard. Find a new hobby then if you can't handle some simple tuning of your car. If it is your daily driver then either get another car or learn to tune it because I don't think "I can't come in today because I don't know how to tune my car and it isn't running right" is a viable excuse.
