A cop has screwed over my life and almost screwed up my future. My lawyer also convinced me to accept the so called 'bargin'. I accepted it just because if I fight and loss, it could affect me getting a job and my entire future which I have been working so hard to secure. I had to opt to screw over my driving record versus taking a gamble with my life. I am so paraniod everyday now. Everytime I see a cop my heart start beating fast, because if I get another ticket, I get the full blown screw over my life instead of the screwing over my driving record. I am on probation for 6 months. 3 months left. I wish I could ride my bicycle to Newport news instead of having to drive, because that would be one less possibility for my life being screwed over. Everytime I see a cop on the road, its like seeing a burgular lurking outside. you dont know if he is going to pick you or someone else. My truth will NEVER be trusted again, because I had to take this 'deal' that they gave me and screw over my driving record instead of gambling 'my word against a cop's word' with my life.

but pulling me for speeding or my tint?! come on... i hate getting pulled for speeding sometimes it's good like if they are speeding in slow traffic and jumping around cars to pass them...but if it's a pack of cars rolling 80.. why pull anyone they are all doing the same thing let them be. [/vent]

I was NOT speeding. Even now, I have no idea why he was pulling me over in the first place. I try my best to obey the law. He was on the verge of sending me to jail, and I was oblivious to what happened. I still have no idea what happened. I just know what realistic choices I have. I can screw over my driving record or take a gamble with screwing over my life. I have worked too hard to secure a good future to gamble with it. I think there was a 95% chance I could have won the case easily, but there was a 5% chance I could go to jail. I didnt like that possibility. I can not get a job in a national laboratory doing work that is going to better the nation 50 years from now, developing the future with a police record.
I used to drive pretty fast in my younger years in the fun back roads in Jamaica, but when I came here, I learned pretty quickly that I have to drive like a grandmother. If something can go wrong in my life, it WILL go wrong. Some people drive so terrible and never have anything happen, but me, things happen no matter what I do. My girl drives sooo bad. I hang on to the door when I am in the car with her. She slows down at stop signs, rash, abrupt driving...everything, but yet, she has never gotten a ticket. I drive the speed limit, stop at stop signs, do everything I can think of, but yet I still get tickets.

That is WHY the ORANGE LIGHT means: prepare to STOP!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't means to Speed up!
Damn Semi's are the main cause of most freaking accidents around here. Today a freaking Semi was doing about 70 in the HOV (I-64) lane and is was pouring down, when the traffic was rolling around 45 to 50 mph.
Most of the cars that run the red light are the ones making a left turn.

Cruising at 45 on a rainy day???? Hummm!!!!!!
Speed limits of most of the roads around here is 45 MPH!!!!
So in a rainy day anyone should be driving slower than the speed limit!!!
