All you VT people okay?
I'm sad for the ones that are on that list, but I'm happy that so far none are the names I was afraid of reading...
I was thinking the same thing... However, I'd be nearly willing to bet that I've met some of the people on the list before or came across their path in some way or another and do not even realize it.
The professor that was blocking the door was killed after all
As silly as this may sound, I think they should definitely honor him in some way or another. I don't know if his generous act (based on the story, anyway) saved anyones life, but he certainly put his students first and put his own life on the line!

It makes me sick to think what all those families must be going through... one second all is relatively well, the next they find out their child/loved one has been taken.
Those people piss me off to no end. As a Veteran it makes my blood boil to see them attempting to interfere with the funerals of other Vets and fallen servicemembers.
I sent an e-mail to the regional Captain for the Patriot Guard (www.patriotguard.org). They've helped out with blocking the WBC from "preaching" at Veterans funerals, and while the victims here aren't Vets, I asked if they would help out, should the WBC choose to interfere.
I'm all for freedom of speech and the right to believe whatever you want to believe, that's why I served and continue to support the military as a defense contractor, but these people should not be allowed to disrupt the funerals of these victims, period. Even if the Patriot Guard can't help out, if I find out that the WBC is in fact planning on showing up at any of the funerals, you can bet I'll be there to try to block them. I would think that we could get enough people together to keep them out, and let these families mourn in peace.

Yeah. Colleges honor people for a lot less.
I saw one of the professors that was killed was a holocaust survivor. Man, I can't even imagine what that guy went through in his life, and what he put behind him to go on with his life, only to have it ended like this.

Yeah. With the president being there and all the security, I highly doubt they will get anywhere near the place.
