I don't think the deceased would want you to spend a single minute feeling guilty about why you couldn't have helped. It's probably best to honor the dead by grieving but at the same time staying focused and living out your life to the fullest, happiest extent... I was super bummed out about it, skipped two of my classes and slept almost all day today because I was so mentally drained from trying to process why someone would do such a thing but then I realized that not everything is cut and dry. You just have to keep on living your life.

Hopefully all of you will grieve but not let this cause a landslide in your grades. There are only a few weeks of class left. Be strong and stay focused

 

one of the most chilling things I've heard is when a reporter was talking to the owner of the funeral home who had to get the 30 some body bags to bring to campus. he said after the deceased were retrieved the sounds of buzzing and ringing cellphones kept going off.

 

probably the families trying to reach them.. man thats so sad

 

very much so! everyone was watching the news and praying that it wasn't their kid, friend, or family member. They weren't getting an answer, and that had to be a terrible feeling no knowing for sure.

think of all the parents and family members who were trying to get through to their loved ones and not getting an answer, thinking the worst... only to find out they were okay later on. you HAVE to feel absolutely blessed in that situation.

 

One of my friends from high school was just on CNN. He was one of the roomates of Seung. Small world

 

i got interviewed 3 times by reporters. i wonder if i said anything important enough to be on the news...

 

that video on cnn.com titled "Hero student 'I was completely scared'" really got to me. that guy came REALLY close to being killed, and he probably saved a lot of lives of the people that were in that classroom with him.. when asked how he felt when people called him a hero, you could tell he was doing everything he could to not cry on tv and just replied "im just glad i could be here". i feel for that man.. i really do...

that, and the story about the cell phones going off.. that had to be horrible to be carrying out someone's body and their phone is going off, and you know damn well whos calling and why...

Basically this: a note found near him contained a bomb threat note with wording similar to previously made bomb threats. The speculation is that the prior bomb threats were made to "test" security response.

 

so, where are this guys parents? I wanna hear what they have to say.
