Are b series and D series starters interchangable I have a b18b1 from a 98 teg with a 92 ls cable tranny in my ef and the starter went out and i have a d series laying around can i use that one?

One more ? since they are not interchangable I need to know which starter to get Like i said up top its a 1998 ls motor with a 92 ls tranny should i get a starter from a 90-93 integ or 94 and up. Thanks

either should work..but to be safe id get a 90-93 starter

nope.....well you wont get a spark if the motor wont turn over

before you go out and spend money on a new starter, you should take it off. and bench test it to make sure thats your problem!
