b-16/18/20 or h22
thanks ok for bee that's impressive what is the h2d or is that like the h2b kit??? and what compression are you running i would like to turbo more than a all motor and everyones vote is b series for boost then after seeing the numbers of the b18c and the price it is out of the question because like stated before by racintweek and after all the feed back on this thread i feel like the money spend on that i could easily have a faster ride for cheaper. then i am still toren between h or b after hearing the pros and cons of them both i can say the h with the right love can be one bad mofo but so can the b the b is easier to install and lighter but the h will take a little more to put in but at the same time it was always my dream to mash he pedal of a turbo h22 in a hatch so with that said if i go b series it will be a b20 turbo possibly with a vtec head or a 93 to 95 h22 just because of the deck plate for boost reasons and maybe a h2b swap in the future but those are what my choices are down to now i will just wait for the right deal to come then go from there on my selection my last questionwill be turbo size on the two motors i am intrested in i want a fast spool street combo for the car similar to a t25 on a d series because i loved the way it drove just the d series wasn't strong enough for what i want without a full build that's why i looking into a motor swap with a turbo that will lay down 11 seconds in a 1/4 mile but still be streetable and it seems like the two motor choices i made can do that without any problems
with a good tune you can push 300hp on a stock b-series. with slicks and good driving you can hit high maybe mid 11's. i wouldnt run 300hp stock block daily though.
an LS w/ a t3/t4 63/60 57trim can get 300hp and still have room if you ever build the motor. you'd prob hit 300 @15-17psi on a stock LS. the torque will be great for daily use.
if you go b-series now the H2B will be much simpler later and cheaper right now.
