I for one wish that this "BEAST" would have run a number so that once and for all the brunings would be exposed for either
(A) Cheats cause the class limit for K_-Series cars in street stock is 2.4 with the factors alowwed max pump can not exceed 2408cc(know this from experience been pumped a few times)
For those who do not know what it means to be pumped it is the term used when NHRA,NOPI,BOTI officialls measure the bore and stroke to check for overall displacement.

(B)They would be called for BULLSHIT on the actuall displacment of there 2.7 "BEAST" and maybe people would start to see clearly through the constint lies that come from them!!
I personnaly am calling BULLSHIT on the displacment of the motor!!!Come on guys street/daily driven 2.7 LTR k series...For gods sake our motor program for the pro cars has never seen anywhere near 2.7 Ltr...
There is no way possible that the crank would live long enough in a motor of that displacement to drive it to the track in the first fucking place..let alone keep a headgasket it at the bore it would take to get that displacement as well..
So keep LYING to yourself guys cause SOME of us reading this are just a LIL more educated on K series than you are!!To be honest I have probably FORGOT more about the K series than you guys will EVER know!
Also not to bust barrys balls or anything but if that thing was only making 250ish whp on a 2.7 strocker I hope he gets his money back cause i have made a fair bit more than that on 100% stock block,stock head(no p&p,valve job) with IPS K-2s,Eibach springs and retainers,SSR budget header on K-pro..

and running 2.7L K race motor.
Anyone see if he got any better times?

THIS IS'NT BRAUNING MOTORSPORTS RACE CAR HE WORKS THIER AND HAS STICKERS JUST LIKE MY CAR and a ton of others..
When anybody builds a race car like the turbo or all motor car then they should talk but not with whats been put out.. When you make a finals or actually win a championship like they did then you can talk.. i don't care who showed up at the events they won the 2004 championship period..
How did the hybrid car do??
I was told a 12.9 then a 11.9 by your own people and thats over 800hp??
Are you even getting thru qualifying or have you ever made it outta rd 1 at any event ever??
Then ya'll throw a sticker on Bretts car and you guys built it.. That car has had stickers on it from everybody on green earth including promotion who recently pissed him off.. It a stock k MOTOR WITH A PAINTJOB BY ILLUSIONS and some tv's what part did ya'll build?? What did you do boltup his catback or his CAI, LOL...

The car is a 2.5L bottom end thats what i've been told.. They tuned that car before mine on saturday and did'nt spend much time on it at all because Barry was in a hurry because it was already after 1pm and qualifying was at 2pm.. The car made 227hp from what i saw on the dyno with about 4-5 pulls from a base.. The car is very fast like it is that thing can't weigh 1700lbs..
I told Barry before he left he was gonna blow the tires off on a 15" 205-50-15" bfg drag radials.. I was told he spun all the way down the track..
And Savage you've always been cool with me but i'm telling you now, Mark don't talk bad about you and i talk to him regulary I thinks its wrong what ya'll just did in this thread..
Rich does it all the time so that nothing new he's a straight clown just remember what goes around, comes around..
I don't understand why everybody can't just do thier own thing and quit slandering everybody.. I've never seen inline pro or brauning talk shit about anybody on message boards thats called class and no wonder they are better then any other local shops.. Both have won events,championships etc what have you guys done??

but as far as barrys car, maybe brauning shouldnt advertise that he has there "2.7l beast" race engine in his car if in fact he does not...
i think thats where the confusion comes in, when a bottomup race built k series engine only runs a 13.9..
the questions begin, like why for instance..
cause he spun the rubber off a brand new set of bfg drag rads?
or its only a 2.5l 227whp hardly tuned k swap?
or driver error, etc...etc....
ive seen our sponsored ek stock k24, ips cams, slippin ass st.2 clutch run a 12.54
and thats with a driver that has made like 3passes down a track in his life ever!
as far as brauning talking shit...word gets around fast...
whether or not you hear about it ronnie..we could care less.....
but yes car ran both numbers you mentioned..all with a blown headgasket
so where was your brauning tagged car ronnie? didnt see you there...
atleast barry has balls enough to actually go to the track(unlike braunings "race team")
