Unless things are different in your part of the state, they only issue one plate in NC, so you don't have an option of having a front plate anyway.

i've had my front plate off for years, and only been ticketed once.

I never had one on your MSM when it was mine either.

I haven't had a front plate on any of my cars for quite a few years. I was pulled over recently for it, but got off with a warning. Eventually I'll have to put it on there. Or I'll just pay the small ticket.
