Yes tint is a secondary offense, but the list of primary offenses is so extensive in VA, it's a moot point. For example having anything hanging from your rearview mirror= primary offense, even a air freshner. A State Cop actually tried to tell one of our agents the other day that GOVs are not exempt from VA tint laws. He was so thorughly laughed at I was told, almost made him cry.

I'd like to know why some ffx cop cars have tint on them and it has to be a less 35% all around, but i can't have the same.

if they can brake the law why can't i/us

The tint laws are there for their safety.

So what is the safety reason for them to be rolling with sub 35% tint?

What I'm saying is the tint laws are there so there are less surprises when a cop approaches a vehicle. Since they don't often pull each other over and they shoot each other even less often there really isn't a reason for them to have clear glass.

safety my ass; they have guns.
how do i know it's a real cop behind the tint...it might be a crazy mass-murder behind the tint that stole a cop car.

may be my tint is for my safety from the crazy ex.

IHMO on tint is too keep cool in the VA heat...it get hot as a mo-fo here. And if i were to get pulled over my car would be off and windows down.
