Does anyone have one? I'm looking to buy an 08 and was wondering if anyone had a code I could use. Any help besides getting a job at GM or marrying a GM employee would be great.

 

Those are attached to the employee, and I don't think they let them transfer to unrelated people. Supposedly they keep pretty good track of that stuff though..
I have an GM employee discount code from my current job but I have never used it. GM suppliers and customers sometimes have deals with GM too, that's how I have mine..

 

I'm told there's a GM friends type discount which is a few hundred to a K less in savings but still is pretty good given the alternative that those with access can give to friends/whomever. You heard anything about that?

 

I haven't really looked into it to be honest. I'm not planning on buying a GM car until I need to tow a boat, I can afford a Corvette, or GM improves the Solstice/Sky platform enough that I feel like driving it more than once.

 

Shawn, what happened to the dealer in MI? Are they not running the deals on the '08 cars?

 

apply at home depot... use their discount code, quit... if you are that desperate.

 

The discount can be huge. I've heard of people saving $10-15k on a pickup truck.

I'm definitely not desperate enough to work any amount amount of time at Home Depot althought I'm sure it's a great place to work.
