well the lower ball joint castle nut decided to work its way off and caused the spindle to come out of the lower control arm and then it snapped the CV and popped the tire when the whole assembly went whatever way it wanted to. i got the axle replaced but now i need new lower ball joints. man this sucks ass
but the spindle has the lower ball joint in it the control arm just has the hole for it to go into
The control arm has the ball joint on it. The threaded part of the ball jont goes through the bottom of the spindle, then the nut, then the pin. If you see the whole in the control arm that means ball joint got ripped out of the arm.
