What about Levon Helm?

Anyways... The bars in Hampton Roads suck. I like bars in Richmond so much better.

He wasn't too good a drummer when singing. Have you ever heard any of The Band's bootlegs? He dropped beats and hit rims quite regularly live. Now, it wasn't like the crowd that was listening to them was too musically acute...I mean the late 70's rock scene was so drugged up that he could have probably played the beats for other songs and no one would have cared, but his drumming was definitely not up to par when singing.

Ranger Trav is an unknown quantity at this point
Thumbs up Re: Hampton Bars

Red Star is alittle pricey. Keagan's has a good atmosphere.

the band has been going strong for 13 years, packs every place, every night of the week. thats all they do. They have no other job. They all support themselves, and their families off of that band. They are all on a salary, and get 2 weeks paid vacation. I was in a band with the bass player for the last 3 years. Him going to soul patch was the best thing that ever happened to him. Hes been with them for a month, and already bought a nice 2 story house with his new salary.
thank you

Don't blame the bar, blame the laws of the commonwealth.

"I was drunk in a bar. They threw me into pub-lic. I don't want to be drunk in pub-lic, I want to be drunk in a goddamn bar!"
