1g talon tsi or 90-96 300zxtt....ive been doing research and im just trying to make a final decision..im trying to factor in hp,mpg,comfort, reliability and funfactor...anybody haveany input on either of the cars?

 

i'd go with the 300zx. i just like nissans better

 

If the Talon is turbo/awd, I'd choose that. Seems a much more capable platform to me.

 

i agree if its a turbo awd then go for the talon,
if not the 300zx has alot of potential

 

Not sure how true this is but I've heard the 300z's are a lot more reliable than an Eagle Talon. Either way, I'd defintely go with the Z, but that's just personal preference.

 

ZXTTs are heavy, but very cool. You'll dump a bit more money into the ZXTT though. I'd rather have the ZXTT; there are too many Talons, etc. around..

 

the Z is the nicer car in general, more comfortable, cruises nicer.. I'm used to my talons so they feel a little bulky driving but i could get used to that real quick, not a big deal. They are much much much heavier and much much more expensive to work on and maintain though. also much much harder to work on. You can tear apart a talon and put it back together in no time. a TT Z is one of the most pain in the ass cars ever to work on. The Z can make plenty of power but if you're looking for a cheap fun factor i'd go with the talon. If you take care of it properly reliability is not an issue. They hold together fine when you take care of it as you should any car. It's when you neglect them or do stupid shit that they will break, just like any other car.

but in the case of the 300, id say go with that if your having a shop do all your engine work for upgrades
and if your doing the work yourself, go with the dsm
i dont even wanna fuck with the z32 engine bay

 

300ZXTT
