I don't know if I buy that or not.
Some lawmakers offices have been bombarded by calls from good drivers who say it's not fair they should have to pay these excessive fees. The good news is they won't.
That's because in Virginia, drivers earn points for every year of good driving; up to five points. Bad drivers lose points, based on offenses, and if you've already lost eight points; the new fees will kick in.

I didnt want to read thru 15 pages but according to Channel 3, the only way you get hit with these hefty fines are if you already have 8 negative driving points or more. So if you have a good record but happen to get a reckless driving, you dont pay thousands of dollars in fines. Its still ridiculous and is only a revenue generator.
Not saying Im going to fuck up again.
didn't you just wreck very recently? crazy hypocrites
Looks like I moved just in time! I'm coming back up to VA to visit but made sure to get my Georgia license before leaving. WOOHOO! F**k VA and the communist assholes that run the state!
How many times have you switched lanes w/o your signal? Theres a difference between robbing a store and making a simple mistake. Cops and courts will want to more penalize your spirited driving as reckless. They've now turned supressing people into a lucrative process. The judicial branch is to uphold law and order, NOT OF TAXATION AND RAISING REVENUE. That is power of the legislative branch, NOT THE JUDICIAL BRANCH. Its basically saying "We want to raise money, but we know if we just put a straight tax, it will make us look bad, so were going to defy the constitution, bend rules, step out of our bounds, and do it this way." They're making it lucrative to make everyone criminals.
And if you are really upset with these laws, go write to the governor or the legislators in Richmond. It may not have any effect, but its sure as hell got more of a chance of change happening, than just sitting there bitching about how bad or unfair it is. There are many valid points being made in the thread about these laws. Let the people that are in charge of changing them hear some of them.
Saw someone pulled over on 64 last night about 0200 that passed me at about 90+
I'm sure they'll be the first one to enjoy the fine
