Worse decision you could ever make. Get the Type S.

I've been looking into these. I've been a RWD fanboy for so long, but I drove my friend Type-S and fell in love.

1. It would be a waste of time.
2. It would be a waste of money.
3. Get a Type S.

There is a lot involved in making a base model make the same power as a stock Type S. After putting all that money into the Base model he could have made the Type S a beast.

I don't know the answer to your question, but:

Also, one big difference between the base and the type-s is "upgradeability". If you plan on doing any fancy stuff, get the type-s, if you want a REALLY nice daily driver with a comfortable ride and enough power to pass on the highway without your eyes mashing into your brain, the base model will suit you just fine.

The base and type S are different animals all together. The vtec system is different and they have different transmissions.
