Pathetic! They should have just put a blower on it from the factory so it could be worth racing! hahaha

Nice gains, however the average person won't see the problems with these motors, but the engineers do.

Incorrect... this motor has been in the Escalade for a long time. It's jus an LSX w/ a larger bore and better heads. Ther is no inherent issue w/ the motor. If there were, then there's issues w/ all of the LSX family.

Correct.
Sure about that? This thread may interest you coming from a buddy who happens to be a GM engineer who tests that engine. His views are different than yours.

Just a few quotes

um, I broke 23 of the 24 I ran, with stock power
I'm a perfectionist, but to me, the quality went south on this one (IMO) and they experimented on new parts with a vette engine, that could have easily been performed in a truck GEN engine
Various tests, from low speed part throttle testing to full out raceway testing (simulated track testing).

I don't believe I've ever had one go more than the equivalent of 80k miles, if that
I am not here to argue who is right and wrong or what internet forum I got the info from. I just got it right from the horses mouth who gets paid to test and build these engines and gave his honest professional opinion.

Imagining will be reality, as it is in the process
