Cars do go down, that's correct. But check this out.

Brand New M3 with most all options is 56K out the door. You can purchase a 2003 model with same options in the high 35K.

Brand new C6 Corvette, is also at 56K. But a 2006 model with only 5000K on the odometer is selling at 35K. So you see, how a 2006 model 56K droped while an M3 is still holding it's value.

You say you kill M3s on the regular, who have you been trying to race? Middle and upper aged men that drives M3s to impress their collegues and girls that doesnt even know anything about the car?? or stuck up bitches who drives convertibles in their prada shades driving to the mall? O.o

And i dont think its realistic to compare more vintage cars built back in the 60s and compare it to cars made today, it doesn't work that way. Do you plan on keeping your car for the next 40 years of your life in mint condition? I highly doubt it. A car is only worth as much as a person is willing to pay for it. If you want to talk about numbered, the Type R I believe made only 1500 per year for 2000-2001 in the US market. It's been almost 7 years, the going price for one are in the low to mid $10Ks.

As for most of you who have known me, I used to have a 2000 Integra Type R, it was one of the best handling car in stock trim ever built. I loved the high strung engine, the tight suspension, it was the best and balanced front wheel drive car ever built. For those who were fortunate to own one, mad kudos to you!

The M3 is exactly how the Type R was built, built for the track. A well balanced car with decent power, great suspension etc. 0-60 4.8 sec and low to mid 13s in a 1/4 mile in stock trim no one can complain about, especially in a luxury fitting (leather seats, power accessories, sunroof) The E46 M3 has held its weight since 2001, the new release of the 2008 M3 will yet raise the bar once again.

The competition package released in 2005 and 2006 was the closes you could get in the US market to the legendary 2003 M3 CSL. (the CSL M3 was one of the best car ever built but never made it to the US) ( a tighter steering ratio 15.2 to 1, 13.6 crossed drilled rotors with more agressive brakes, Stiffer Suspension, CSL wheels, Alcantra fittings all taken from the CSL) If you are not familiar with the CSL you should just go die. Just like the Type R, the M3 will always be a novelty car and be admired by true car enthusiasts.
Words taken out of my mouth. No disrespect, I've seen stock 350Z's win against the charger. This is one of the cases where more Horse power will not necessary mean anything. It's how the car puts it down and how it takes advantages of every single pony.

negative ghostrider... two of my best friends own 2003 and 2003.5(grey market ) m3 coupes with all the options. the 2003.5 has the 04' led tailights, and a few other half-year changes. the cars were 59,900 new,and now the 2003 has 35,xxx on the clock and the value is much less than 28k,meanwhile the 2003.5(grey market car) has dropped from $63,457 to $27,895 and it only shows 32,xxx miles. check your numbers again there.and the vettes were overpriced to begin with, thus the steep drop in resale value.
the m3's go for 19-22k regularly at manheim auto auction,(and yes even the 10 out of 10 cars)

Are you talking to me? Because if your replying to something I said, most of what you said, has nothing to do with anything I stated...I am going to highlight it for your below:

It is a balanced car, mine is also. You are right about the 2008 MONSTER like I said

I just researched it was a good car.

What I will comment on is this:

My bad for thinking it was you, there is ALOT of Alpine M3s in this area, but your plate do look familiar. Stock form, faster than a SRT8, if you say im high off something, than your REAL high off something.

Who have I raced? hell if I know...I dont know these people personally. Its not no setup race, maybe on the highway, 50-90...or somewhere, a 20-60...never raced one from a dig. They never want to race from a dig if I do catch one at a light. I dont think I would race anyway, my car doesn't get traction from a start, so I would just have a lot of smoke at a light, and i would get burned.

I really hope you are not taking this personally? Opinions are Opinions right? Obviously, you have a M3 and I have a Charger, of course we are going to say our car is better than the other. So no point in even going any further correct?

You got me on things, I got you on things. Lets call it even.

Ok, I dont know what year you have exactly, but looking up REAL WORLD test results, and this is what I found below: There is not alot of real world specs/data, just alot of what BMW claims, and all that crap

Edmunds Review of a 2005:

0-60 - 5.5
1/4 - 13.7
G's - .85-.88g

My bad guys, for some reason, looking back I put a paid 38,000 for my car...dont know why I put that. I bought my car for 33,000...out the door.

My girlfriend was looking at a 2007 Lexus IS and that was 38,000, I just got it mixed up.
