Woke up at 7:30 am to bring my car in a local country mechanic. Waited untill 9:30am, FAILED inspection because there wasnt no DOT stamp on my headlights

Yellowish blubs = failed inspection (Last year at HONDA dealership I passed)

anyone got any ek blubs? stock, I dont feel like spending $45 bucks on oem headlights at walmart

 

that's shitty. he failed you because of bulbs? or do you have aftermarket head light assemblies?

 

blubs, they didnt have A dot stamp on the blub... so shitty

 

you can get them a lot cheaper than that.

pepboys, autozone, etc.

 

I have never heard of them pulling out the headlight bulbs to check for DOT stamps but I guess there is a 1st time for everything. If it really is the bulbs , they can be had for around 10 bucks for the pair. You sure he wasn't talkin about the headlights? Do you have aftermarket ones?

 

Yeah they are $10 a pair, but they don't take them out to inspect. I passed with the bluest bulbs you have ever seen. 9004 or H4(same thing) is the size for the EK bulb and they are less than $10 a pair

Buy bulbs, put them in, get inspection, take them out, return them.

 

I would call the state police and ask, very politely, if this is standard practice, I have never had that happen.

 

Quick question, are you typing the word "Blubs" on purpose?
