Ferguson has a fantastic reputaion for being a very nice company to work for. Just as an FYI, I did not have an interveiw there. More of just a business meeting.

Whistler, keep in mind that less than 2% of america makes a six figure or more income. Please know that most people who claim baller status make like 40K.... the people that really make 100K don't talk about it and the people that make far and above 100K, still don't talk about it but you can tell in the way they present themselves.

I think it's possible. I was making over 3/4 of 100k with just the secret clearance in Hampton, and I haven't asked for a raise since obtaining my ts/sci. Now, I know that the most recent job postings from our company for experienced developers and sysadmins specified that the starting negotiating salaries were in the upper 80's for people with secret clearances (those jobs have since been filled and I think we are only looking for a proposal writer that pays $50k+). I'm certain they are much higher if you have an active ts/sci.

I'm just happy that I finally got my ts/sci. Took over 5 years from the first time I filled out all the paperwork.

Big difference is DC area pays tho. The 757 is a little low on the income side. All the jobs I talk about are in the DC area. We do have a higher cost of living up here. And by no means do I call myself a baller. I just tell how I see it. Check the websites for this area and you will be astounded by the job oppurtunities. Also check monster for the private sector. My point is the 757 for IT people have been eating up for entry lvl IT people. Tech jobs paying 10/hr. Tho I have heard from friends that Ferguson is good to work for, but they work you hard. Up in DC we work 4 day work weeks. Which is a norm here in DC for alot of IT people. Once again GL to all.
