From Dan Summer's director of US Drift Hampton Roads

I'm looking into setting up monthly drift practices at pungo air field.
These would be just like every othere event at pungo, rain or shine.
All i need to know is if i have enough people to warrant the events.

It is currently in the works but if i dont see any response or enough interest i know its not worth it

The price will be 75.00 for the day or 120.00 if its a two day event.
You are allowed one pit pass and all others will be five dollars a head.
All of the normal saftey requirements will be implemented,
with strict adhearance to nasa rules and regulations.
In addition if you have the neccasary equipment you will be allowed to run tandem.
If you can find another driver to run with, and if you except the responablity of
your actions.

Wow, hopefully enough people enter so it can keep going.

 

I hope this gets up and going monthly like originally planned. Unfortunately I don't have anything to take out there, but I would definitely be there in attendance.

Unfortunately, people saying they will spectate doesn't really help them. They need the majority to commit to entering the event. It's fun, I've done one before. Get out there and give it a try!

 

no watching, go out and drive. Parking lot events are as easy as it gets. The worst that could happen is you knock over a some cones and make Dan or Mike run out to put them back in place. Its good exercise for them.

 

hahaha, pungo's lots of fun, abit dusty which is good for low power cars ive found

 

The more practice we get, the better the competition will be and the more publicity our region would have for outputting serious drifters.

To people that just want to practice I guess those things really mean nothing but for those trying to compete and take a more serious role in the sport it'd help to get scouts out to our area and maybe some more media coverage.

I've been to a few, but I've never participated before. I think I'll give it a shot. Maybe learn a little.
